Interlocking Tower Project

This was one of those projects that start out simply enough. We were looking to do a one or two day project. Now several weeks later.....here it is... at least nearing completion. The design admittedly has evolved from the original plan. And we think it is much better than it would have been if we had used fewer details.

The same door with an added reference. The girl is 4 years old. She helps to put the project in scale.
Installing the roofing.

The view out the front, upper windows as seen from the lower level just inside the door.
The first in a series. The tower is framed up, the upper door is installed, and the tar paper is being installed on the roof.
The second picture in the series. The roof is nearing completion.
The third picture of the series. The windows have been installed and a stairway stringer has been put in place to check for fit.
The fourth picture in the series. Stairs are installed and the siding is almost completed as well.
This is what the tower would look like if it were full size (or you were 5/12 scale!).
